The Civil Rights Movement for Blacks was lead by great leaders such as Martin Luther King Jr. and other leaders who's main principle was non violence protesting and/or civil disobedience. They were also proud to be who they were and most African-American leaders wanted Blacks to preserve/keep their culture and make their way up in America as equals at the same time have their culture recognized as unique and equal as well.

The other two movements saw this as an "inspirational" thing and incorporated the same ideals in their movements.

Essentially: The civil disobedience and peaceful protests, and the feeling and fight to preserve their culture and have it recognized as equal were the two main things that all these movements had in common.
