Are aliens real or are they a figment of our imagination?

As of today, the collective scientific opinion is that "we have made no contact with aliens". This does not mean aliens do not exist, it just means that we have not been in contact with them.

Of course, there are conspiracy theories that make all sorts of claims that are hard to prove.
