Two tangent lines can be drawn from point R outside the circle to a circle. The remaining lines will penetrate the circle.


Step 1: Try to draw a tangents from the outside point.

               Center of the circle "O"

               Outside point "R"

                


Step 2: Tangent of the circle "O" from the outside point R.

                     


              Thus, from the outer side point of the circle, only two tangents are possible.
