Plug in the points (1,11) and (3,7) to get m = -2

Step 3: Recall the general form of a linear equation

y = m x + b

Plug in x = 1 and y = 11 in this to get b = 13

Step 4: Write the linear equation

Plug in m = -2 and b = 13

to get y = -2 x + 3
