STEP 1:

Remember how to graph a system of equations by graphing

https://www.qalaxia.com/viewDiscussion?messageId=5cf68d109e3a0f0d31ee8cfe

Graph the equation y = -x +1

Plug in x = 0 in the above equation to get y = 1

Plug in y = 0 to get - x + 1 = 0 which means x = 1

Plot (0,1) and (1.0) on the graph and join these to get a straight line

STEP 2:

Graph the line y = -6 on the graph. You will see these lines intersect at a point (-5,6)

So, this means that the lines have one solution

Recall what it means when a pair of lines have one solution, infinitely many solutions or no solution
