To graph a line, all we need are two points.

The first point is easy to find by setting x = 0 that gives us y = 5 . Therefore, the first point is (0, 5) .

The second point can be found many ways, maybe by setting y = 0 ? That give us x = -25/3 . Yeesh! Not easy to graph.

Maybe, we can find the second point by setting x = 5 ? That gives us y = 8 . Excellent! Why did I select x = 5 ? Because if I set x = 5 then \frac{3}{5} x turns out to be a whole number. In fact, I can pick any multiple of 5 .

That gives us two points. (0, 5) and (5, 8) . Plot these two points and draw a straight line passing through these two points.
