How do I solve this log? I'm not sure how to work with fractions as arguments in logs.

\log_{5} \Big(\frac{1}{125}\Big) = \log_{5}\Big(\frac{1}{5^3}\Big) = \log_{5}\big(5^{-3}\big) Since \log_{a}(x{^n}) = n \log_a(x) , this becomes -3\log_5(5) and since \log_5(5) = 1, the answer is -3.
