Simple answer for the question.


Given that


x^5 = 32

First check wether we can write the 32 in power 5 form or not

We can write 32 = 2*2*2*2*2.

So.

x^5 = 2^5


See the above equation powers are equal then compare the base.

X=2

Shubhanan, have you covered complex roots?


The answer is actually x = 2 \times e^{i \frac{2 k \pi}{5}} where k = 0, 1, 2, 3, 4 .


Since this is a fifth order polynomial, you should get five solutions for x .
