A perfectionist is a stickler for perfection. This to me is not a bad thing if one is in control of it. I remember watching an ad once, where a husband tries to help his wife by making chapatis (Indian bread). He tries to make each chapatti in the shape of a perfect circle. He keeps discarding the chapatis he does not manage to give a perfect shape to. This enrages his wife to the hilt. This was actually the ad for a chapati maker. Many including me can knead the dough properly, but giving a perfect shape for it is hard. My chapatis usually end up looking like the map of India!
Anyway, coming back to the question asked - a perfectionist is someone who tries not to make any mistakes at all. He wants to do the job right. so there is no chance of even a slightest mistake. This is not a wrong thing in itself, but we should know when or where to stop. Wanting it to be perfect may take a longer time but the outcome is totally worth it! If you enjoy what you do, you automatically do become a perfectionist!
