STEP 1: Recall what sigma notation means

STEP 2: Recall how to write numbers using sigma notation

STEP 3: Find the value

Plug in n = 1, n = 2, n = 3, n = 4 and n = 5 in the given notation to get

1^{5} + 2^{5} + 3^{5}+4^{5} + 5^{5}

= 1+ 32 + 243 + 1024 + 3125

= 4425
