Non real numbers:

All real numbers can be expressed on the number line, while imaginary numbers cannot be expressed on the number line.

A non-real number is a number that does not exist. A number which is imaginary, is not a real number, it can be represented by a symbol, most likely represented by "i," or an equation that cannot be calculated, such as the square root of a negative integer.

Examples:

• Numbers of the form a + b.i

where i is equal to square root of -1 ( \sqrt{-1}) and b \neq 0.

• \frac{0}{0} is not a number so it is not a real number.
• infinity is not a number (not a real number and not a complex number)
