Step 1: Differentiate the given angles

NOTE: Differentiate as Interior or exterior angles

Step 2: Make sure are there any remote interior angles to the exterior angle

NOTE: The measure of an exterior angle of a triangle is greater than the

measures of its remote interior angles.

Step 3: Conclude that the exterior angle is greater than the remote angles

EXAMPLE: Since \angle 2 is an exterior angle of a triangle with \angle 3 and \angle 5 as remote interior angles, \angle 2 is greater than \angle 3 and \angle 5.

So, \angle 2 has the largest measure of the three angles.
